16 November 2011

One newspaper I used to read had the motto "All the News That's Fit to Print." This is more like "All the News That Fits, We Print, and Then Some."

Comments, questions, etc? Just ask...

And More...

Center School Wish List
As school budgets get cut and cut again, we've all found ourselves buying books, or supplies or some other item that your child's teacher would like to them to have in the classroom. Instead of leaving this as an adhoc activity, we're consolidating all those asks into one Wish List for Center School faculty and staff. The list will live on the CSCA website, and the Blast will point to it every so often, but we thought we'd do a little fancy stuff for the opening salvo. We don't want a lot, we just need a little more. So look here first
and then look here.

Adjust Your Alarm Clocks
The final, official, yes-this-is-really-the-new-schedule schedule is here, and school will be starting a bit earlier, beginning Monday 21 November. You've heard the robo-call, you've read the email, and now you can look at the website.

Deadline for Dragonwear Approaching
This year's TCS logo wear produced by the senior class is in the final week of taking artwork for consideration. If you would like to submit a design for consideration for this years Dragonwear please turn in your artwork to Ms Culbertson by the Thanksgiving break. Other than a single color there are no restrictions to design although production costs might well factor into the final choice. Any questions can be directed to Paul Dieter in the senior events committee at csca@me.com

Do you have an idea for a BLAST article?
We want to know what you know, and we want to know what you need. Send us your specific content, or your ideas for content. If you have Blast content to get out this week - please submit it by Friday at 3 pm. The Blast goes out late Sunday night, and covers school life for the following week.

Things we like to know:
- School News, in and out of the building
- Opportunities for Center School students (volunteering, classes, performances, etc)
- Student, staff and faculty accomplishments beyond the school.
- And the ever-favorite "misc."

By now you've seen the motley collection of stuff that qualifies for the Blast -- if you've got something that fits that very elastic category, send it in. Make sure you tell me what's going on, where and when it's happening, and how to get in touch with the people involved, if participation is the goal. And let me know how long you think it should run.

To submit news, events, or calendar items to be included in the Blast, send an email with subject line "News" to submitarticle@csca.thecenterschool.net.
