Last Call -- Ski Bus

Ok, so the New York Times had a feature on Sun Valley weekends -- we all know the better deal is the Center School Thursday Ski Bus.  Sign ups have been extended to Thursday end of the day, but we’re still short a few boarders and skiiers.  So here are the details one more time.

The bus to Snoqualmie Pass will run the first 6 Thursdays after winter break, starting on Jan 6th and running through Feb 10th. This year the cost will be $312 per student for bus and lift ticket. Students who have ski passes may sign up for a bus-only option for $132.  The Starline motor coach will leave from the usual location, the corner of 2nd and Taylor, next to the Children’s Theater, and return to the same location about 9:00 pm. Skis and boards may be brought and stored at school in the morning and will be locked up. If students have friends or siblings interested in going, they are welcome! If they will be missing school to do so, a transcript must be sent showing at least a 2.0 GPA along with the application and check.

Bound for Art School?

If you’re considering an art school after high school, heads-up on Portfolio Day, a chance for art professionals to look at current examples of your work and get some advice on how to present yourself and your work for applications.  This is free (yes, free) and is a great way to get a feel for the next big step in the path.  Portfolio Day is January 8 at Cornish College (1000 Lenora Street -- check in at 10 am, reviews from 11 am-3 pm), so use the holiday break to pull your stuff together.  For more information:
